Thomas Dover’s strip sack and fumble recovery with nine seconds remaining in the fourth quarter sealed a 54-53 win for the Streets over the Predators Sunday at the Amway Center in Orlando. With the Streets down 53-46 late in the fourth quarter, E.J. Nemeth threw a 20 yard touchdown pass to Edgar Allen Poe with 28 seconds remaining that brought New York within a point. The Streets then decided to go for the two-point conversion and Nemeth connected with Devantae Jenkins to put the Streets up by one.
With the win in “The Jungle”, the Streets improve to 3-1 and they pull even with the Carolina Cobras and the Jacksonville Sharks for the top spot in the National Arena League while the Predators drop to 1-4.
The Streets will have a bye this week and will return to action on Monday May 27th when they host the Massachusetts Pirates at the Westchester County Center.
